Calculate loaded hourly cost
Use averages
This page is meant for role/team averages. Do not enter confidential individual compensation details.
Formula
Base hourly rate = annual compensation ÷ working weeks ÷ working hours per week. Loaded hourly cost = base hourly rate × overhead multiplier.
Worked example: $120,000 ÷ 48 ÷ 40 = $62.50 base hourly. With a 1.25 multiplier, loaded hourly cost is $78.13.
FAQ
Is this a payroll calculator?
No. It is a planning assumption helper for meeting-cost estimates, not payroll, tax, HR, or accounting advice.
